About the Department

The Department of History at Dhemaji City College is dedicated to the study and interpretation of the past, with a focus on preserving cultural heritage and understanding historical processes. Our programs encourage analytical thinking and research skills that help students explore the complexity of historical events and their relevance today.

Our curriculum covers a wide range of topics including ancient, medieval, and modern history, with special emphasis on Indian history, Assamese history, and heritage studies. We combine traditional historiography with modern research methodologies to foster a comprehensive understanding of history.
